Have a Bonding Idea? Email Greg or Fiona!!!

Hello Fred Members,

Thanks again for participating in Fred Assassins!  As the semester comes to a close, we're planning on having a slumber party in the near future, hopefully to help relieve the stress of finals.  If you have an idea for what could be a fun activity to do during the slumber party or a general bonding idea, please feel free to email either greglorenz.amarra@trincoll.edu or fiona.cooke@trincoll.edu.

Thanks everyone and good luck with the rest of your semesters!

Shah Momin and Sarah Blanks: A Story of Friendship and Betrayal

With only three Fred members left in the game, the kill assignments were known by all:  Mike had Shah, Shah had Sarah, and Sarah had Mike.  From the get go, Shah was given immunity by Mike, an alliance that would put Sarah at a considerable disadvantage.  While walking to the Cave, Mike and Shah passed by the Community Service Office in which they see Sarah working on Relay related things.  After a few minutes, they decided to pursue Blanks but her cat-like reflexes came in handy and she locked the door on them.  After waiting outside the office for half an hour, Mike and Shah left to go to the Cave but returned 15 minutes later to find the door still locked.  An "unnamed friend" saw the two standing outside of the office and asked if they needed to be let in, not knowing the severity of situation.  Upon entering the office, Mike and Shah looked for Sarah but she was nowhere to be found.  Knowing that the Community Service Office is a bomb shelter and therefore has no windows, they noted she couldn't have gone far.  Sarah and her friend, Tiffany, locked themselves in Graduate Assistant Lindsey Eichler's office in hopes of evading a three pin-off.  Shah and Mike closed the office door and blocked the exit with a couch, thereby providing no escape for Sarah.  The men tried repeatedly to bargain with Sarah but to no avail.  After getting a rule clarification from the incredibly good-looking Fred Bonding Coordinator, Sarah leaped out of the office and socked Shah with fire in her eyes, not knowing that the two were just about to leave her be and let her live another day.  She was grabbed by Shah, who pinned her down so she couldn't move.  Mike made his move at 11:47 pm, killing Shah, removing the pin, and then killing Sarah only seconds later.  Sarah was completely unaware that such a plan had been in the works before Mike and Shah even entered the office.  Needless to say, Sarah was speechless (and pretty pissed).

With Shah's sacrifice, the time-honored saying was proven true: Bros before hos... I mean, not that Sarah's a.... nevermind...

Kristina Pappas: Forget about Courage--This Lion Was Looking for Murder!

Story to come...

Killer: Sarah Blanks
Time of Death: ?

Ryan Haney: Our Fearless Leader down for the Count

During Homecoming Weekend, Ryan left the Fred with a large group of people, not knowing that his assassin was traveling with him.  As Ryan made his way to the football game, his killer waited until the moment was right and clothespinned Ryan outside of McCook.  He played the game well and will be remembered for making Fred meetings lighthearted and entirely enjoyable.  This Friday's Egg-Drop (followed by brinner for the winners) will be dedicated to him.  The paper money that will be raining from the six floors of the Fred will have his face on the bills (I think there's an unwritten rule that you have to be dead in order to be on American currency anyways...).

Killer: Shah Momin
Time of Death: 1:25 pm

Pratheek Kalyanapu: A Permanent Siesta

Pratheek, one of those in attendance of this past Friday's event, went outside the Fred Common Room to see what was on the grill.  He unknowingly exposed himself (not in that way...) to his assassin, who was manning the grill.  When Pratheek turned around to head back inside, his killer moved swiftly, spatula in hand, and made the kill.

Pratheek will be remembered for his love of the game.  His 6 kills remains one of the highest kills totals in the history of Fred Assassins.

Killer: Shah Momin
Time of Death: 10:15 pm

Thea Button: Dead Freddie, Corner Pocket

While enjoying a cigarette outside the front door of the Fred, Thea was spotted by her assassin and brutally murdered.  She leaves behind a stack of tarot card, an impressive costume collection, and a grieving fifth floor.  Peter B's will be closed indefinitely until a replacement can be found (not likely).

This just serves as a reminder kids: smoking does kill.

Jon Lee: He's Got 99 Problems and a Death Is One

Jon was in Mather, about to enjoy his dinner when his killer walked in and made the kill.  His assassin  later confessed that she wasted a meal in the process (which was a bold move, seeing as she's always out of meals).  While Jon was slowly heading towards that bright light, he summoned up the strength to write a final email, saying "Elisabeth and Alden are gonna be upset though 'cause they had to chase me.  Elisabeth chased me four times and Sarah killed me first try."

Since coming back from H1N1, Sarah has been on a killing spree.  All living Fred members should consider themselves warned.

Alden Gordon: Reigning Champ Dethroned

Alden's killer has been ruthless since acquiring her new target.  After a botched kill attempt that sent Alden to a medical center for treatment (which involved getting his head glued shut... seriously), his assassin finally made her move on Saturday.  While in his car in the Trinity Commons parking lot, Alden's assassin jumped into the back seat and clipped the back of his collar.  Alden, who hails from Farmington, will be missed for his love of protein shakes,  toffee peanuts, and his mother (who everyone would do...).  The Trinity Chem Society will construct a statue of Alden out of 1,000 molecular model sets.

Just like one of Alden's favorite songs says: only the good die young.

Killer: Sarah Blanks
Time of Death: sometime on Saturday

Hannah Kaneck: The Pride and Joy of 301

While walking back from Cleo, Hannah was spotted by an unnamed Fred member who promptly called her assassin.  While walking up the stairs leading to the Fred, Hannah's killer leaped out of nowhere and made the kill.  Hannah admittedly wasn't in the best position to defend herself but did note that she had fun at Cleo, making the death more tolerable.  She will be remembered for her campfire making skills and for being the last Hannah standing.

For those of you who don't know, Hannah is a palindrome... so is racecar.

Killer: Kristina Pappas
Time of Death: Sometime on Thursday night

David Caffrey: Another Mather Murder

While walking with a few friends,  David's assassin was notified that he just entered Mather.  Upon hearing this, his killer sprinted into the dining hall, trying to find her target.  After failing to see him, she remembered to look up, spotted him, and made the kill.  The Dischords will be holding a 24-hour non-stop concert extravaganza in his honor.

Killer: Sarah Blanks
Time of Death: Thursday at 12:30 pm

Jordyn Sims: Unfortunately, Awkward Balloons Don't Save Lives... But They're Still Pretty Awesome

While waiting in line at the Cave, Jordyn was approached by her assassin.  She was in pure shock as her killer closed in on her and made the kill.  When paying for her meal, Toni asked if there was anything she could do but Jordyn replied, "no... thank you baby."  Jordyn will be remembered for her sweet dance moves, use of large words, healthy lifestyle, and badass mom.  Mike Pierce has been inconsolable since the death and vows to never date again.

Dammit, now they're both off the market!

Killer: Alden Gordon
Time of Death: approximately 7:00 pm

Elisabeth Cianciola: Assassins Is Heating up--Talk about Global Warming

Elisabeth was killed while walking outside of Austin Arts Center.  According to her assassin, she went down quietly and without a fight.  Elisabeth will be remembered for friendliness to both people and nature.  The Fred has decided to plant a tree in her honor and refrain from using the elevator for a day.

Killer: Jordyn Sims
Time of Death: 6:00 pm

Hannah Korsmeyer: I'll See You After Class

While in class, Hannah faintly heard a scream--the same scream that David Burszan let out while being killed outside of the classroom.  Hannah wearily walked out of the room after class, expecting the worst.  Surely enough, she was greeted by a smiling assassin who clothespinned her instantly.  Hannah's death leaves only one Hannah left in the game... Kaneck hasn't been seen since her roommate's death.

Killer: Sarah Blanks
Time of Death: shortly after David's death

David Burszan: Don't Look at Him in the Eyes!!!

David, who hails from Antarctica (according to Facebook), was pinned by his killer while outside of a classroom.  His killer stealthily followed him all the way to the classroom, where he was going to make his kill.  Once pinned, David let out a loud scream.  Dangerous David will be missed for his dedication to the game and his killing ways.  That being said, can anyone permanently cover his Cinestudio shift?

Killer: Sarah Blanks

Christine Gilbert: Uh Oh... Tickets and Tokens Are Non-Transferable

Only 10.5 hours after killing Mike Blottin, Shah struck again by killing Christine.  She was walking outside the Fred when Shah spotted her and made the kill once again, by the top of the Fred steps.  The Fred will miss her smile, perfect pitch, and tall ways.  The Hannah's from 301 (the only living roommates left), will hold a candlelight vigil in her memory.

Talk about déjà vu.

Killer: Shah Momin
Time of Death: 9:15 pm

Mike Blottin: A Literal Stairway to Heaven

While leaving the Fred, Mike unknowingly walked alongside his killer.  When they reached the first step outside of the Fred, Mike was clothespinned to death.  He will be missed for his computer and mailing list skills, witty comments, dedication to human rights, and overall awesomeness... and his devilishly handsome face.

In related news: we not longer have to label our emails as discussion.

Luke Blanchard: All Work and No Play Made Luke a Dead Boy

While doing work in the library, Luke was approached by his killer.  His assassin made the kill, but noted how bad she felt afterwards.  Luke will be remembered for his guitar playing skills and beautiful singing voice (which happens to be a mix between Jesus and Fergie).  When asked about the death of their roommate Luke, 404 responded by saying "aww crap, that was our last one!"

Killer: Sarah Blanks

Barred to Death

William Yale stepped outside of Friday night's Fred Event, only to be attacked by his killer. The brawl lasted a couple of minutes, while onlookers cheered on their respective person who they wanted to win. William Yale will always be remembered by his fiery attitude towards politics.

General Assassins Announcement: Sock Rule Now in Effect!

Hello Fred members,

As you know, there have been many deaths in our community.  At the moment, there are 19 Fred members still alive in the game.  Because of this, the Sock Rule is now in effect.  Basically, when you are approached by your assassin, you have the ability to throw a sock at them in order to stun them.  This gives you 1 hour of immunity during which you cannot be killed.  Here are a few notes:
  • you can only have 1 sock on you at a time (excluding the ones on your feet)
  • your sock throw MUST make contact with the assassin
  • if your throw misses, you are allowed to pick up the sock and throw it as many times as it takes to make contact with the assassin
  • you only have 1 stun per day
  • PLEASE USE CLEAN SOCKS ONLY!!!
If you have any questions, please email one of us.  Also, please remember to send us updates so we can post them on the blog.  Happy killing!

-Greg & Fiona

Elliot Faust: Don't Ya Know That He's, He's Some Kind of DEAD!

Elliot was in the Cave when he was spotted by one of the Fred's most prolific assassins.  When the killer approached, Elliot grabbed the clothespin and killed himself.  For the first time, a Fred member committed suicide in the game.  Elliot claims that he did it in order to keep his dignity, rather than have the killer make a fool of him.

Can he get a witness?

Killer: Pratheek Kalyanapu
Time of Death: sometime last Friday

Alli Millstein: Forever Silenced

Alli was walking in front on MCEC when her assassin came over to ask a question about the Fred soccer team.  The killer admits that the question was a lame attempt to initiate a kill.  Alli was quite aware of what was about to happen but didn't resist, given the fact that she was lugging around a guitar (among other reasons).  She leaves behind said guitar, a pair of soccer cleats, and a saddened third floor.

Fred Coffee Houses will never be the same without her (then again, it was inevitable since she was graduating anyways...)

Killer: Kristina Pappas
Time of Death: sometime this weekend

Jim Armillay: Wait, I Thought He Was Italian?

The victim wrote this account of his death in his last few minutes:

" I was walking out of my History of Italian Foods class, reflecting on the glorious mystery that is Italian culture when all of a sudden my killer lunged at me from a corner.  Startled, but not willing to go down without a fight, I quickly used my amazing Ninja abilities and did a series of  back flips down the hallway.  Using a nearby professor as a human shield, I was able to safely dodge the flurry of bullets shot at me by my formidable opponent.  My enemy, crazed with the desire to kill advanced, jumping from wall to wall as she struggled to pin me down.  We battled fiercely for several minutes, destroying anything that happened to cross our path.  Just when I was about to achieve final victory and escape from her clothespin of death, I tripped over an innocent bystander cowering in fear.  Taking advantage of my momentary lack of defense, my killer lunged forth striking me with her devilish wooden barb.  It was over.  The third floor of McCook lay in ruins, the destruction incomprehensible. Breathing my last breaths from the rubble of the ruined hallway, I softly whispered the name of my next target into the ear of my killer.  I recognized the profound skill of my opponent and after wishing her the best of luck in her future pursuits, I took my leave of this world.  And thus ended the life of Jim Armillay..."

Yep, this is exactly how it happened.

Deede Dixon: Still a Champ... Not at Assassins, Though

Our beloved Deede Dixon was murdered on Friday by one very successful assassin.  As Deede walked from one LSC class to another class (still in LSC!), her assassin spotted her and quickly made the kill.  She leaves behind her shiny medal, a unisuit, and a grieving fifth floor.

Killer: David Burszan
Time of Death: 9:55 am

Eniana Agolli: Pratheek's Fifth Victim

While attending a Halloween par-tay in Summit South, Eniana was followed by her assassin and cornered.  She panicked upon seeing her attacker and although her friends tried to help, it was no use--she was clothespinned to death.  Her assassin said this kill was in retaliation for killing Peter Kempson, the assassin's roommate.  Eniana will be missed by all in the Fred.  Her roommate, Hannah Kaneck, has volunteered to build a campfire in her honor.

Killer: Pratheek Kalyanapu
Time of Death: 11:25 pm

Grace Green & Catherine Shortliffe: Double, Double, Toil and Trouble

While attending the Moveable Joints/Accidentals performance, both Grace and Catherine were tracked down in the audience and killed.  Grace's killer sat in front of her during the show and clipped her stealthily (Grace called the experience "anticlimactic").  Later on, Catherine's killer, who happened to be sitting next to Grace's killer, clothespinned Catherine while the lights were off.  Catherine put up as much of a fight as one in her situation could but sadly, she was murdered as well.  Both will be remembered for their knowledge of all things American and their overall awesomeness.

Oh yeah, they were also the bomb diggity.

Catherine's Killer: Christine Gilbert
Grace's Killer: Eniana Agolli
Time of Death: sometime during the Moveable Joints/Accidentals performance

Stephen Kendall: Didn't Live to Tell His Scary Story

While walking outside to take a breath of fresh air during Friday's Fred event, Stephen was spotted by his killer and murdered.  His killer wants to remind everyone that nobody is safe outside and that according to Halo, he's on a "killing spree" (whatever that means).  His funeral will be this week and the Wolf Quad has decided to donate his facial hair to Locks of Love.

Killer: David Burszan
Time of Death: sometime during Friday's Fred event
